Hi, Talea, hi all. dani-beth reporting back for duty. it's been a while (well, not quite a year). after winning last year's script frenzy, and failing miserably at last year's Nano, i'm back, and pumped, and ready for action. i have a vague idea for a plot, i title i love, and that's about it at the moment. i will be updating my profile with more details soon. in the mean time, what's everyone else up to?

Hello Talea, and everyone else! Jadey here! This is my first time doing SF, after success in NaNo last year. I'm not actually from Melbourne, being a little Canberra-ite, but shhh. I affiliate with Melbourne anyway because you're all awesome (especially those from the IRC!). And I don't even think Canberra earns its own region for SF, so it's just better overall for me to pretend I live in Melbourne like I wish I could.

I'm thinking of maaaaybe adapting my NaNo effort Shoot the Dying Girl, but I'm pretty much undecided at this point. What I'm really happy about is, unlike NaNoWriMo which was right in the middle of the biggest exams of the year, Script Frenzy encompasses my two week holiday between terms 1 and 2 at school. So I should (hopefully) have little problem reaching my goal this year.

First year doing Screnzy (don't know where 'Screnzy' came from...) after I won NaNo last year. I'm just doing it on a whim =) Also, it's going to be a good break from school work (I'm working really hard in March so I have nothing to do in April... home schooled!) and from my usual writing.

I'm writing a sci-fi/Armageddon genre mini series. I was going to write a respectable lesbian romance, but everyone assumed that meant porn. Blah. I'm really nervous about Screnzy because I've NEVER writing, or attempted to write, a script before!! I think my biggest obstacle is going to be the formatting... I usually write first drafts in my own format and sort it all out at a later date... So, no doubt, I'll be struggling a little bit!

Ahh dear! APRIL FRENZY?! This is crazy! 19 days till DOOM!

Yeah hi it's me, I won Script Frenzy last year and WHAT THE HELL POSSESSED THEM TO CHANGE IT TO APRIL!?

I would really like to write an adaptation of one of Phillip K Dick's short stories, and hopefully come up with a film script along the lines of Blade Runner (and not the other PK Dick cock-ups like Minority Report and Total Recall).

Biggest obstacle? Hmm... probably the fact that I'm trying to study LAW at the moment (and am currently failing miserably). But oh well, f*** law, script writing is the AWESOME! :D

I can't believe that we all will be going frantic in two weeks!!! I managed to scrape in with a one week writing effort (gawd it was hell) to complete Script Frenzy last year. I've already started a film script, so it's a nice excuse to lay off until April, and then go totally crazy for the month!!!!

This is my second year doing Screnzy and will be my third for Nano...
I didnt suceed at NaNo or Screnzy last year :( but I hope to first get my 100 pages and then my 50k words :P

If you're up for healthy doses of externally supplied guilt, shame, torment, etc, then that can certainly be arranged.
