Howdy - anyone from Nano?

I've done Nano for several years, but this year, due to write-ins (mostly Columbia Border's and White Marsh Ikea) I finally won with just over 50k!

This year I plan to do a slew of one-acts. I've done one-acts before during The 24 Experiment (a 24-hour play writing/producing festival), but that's it.

RE: Howdy - anyone from Nano?

Hey, I know I already answered you away from here but I thought I would pop in and say hi. I can't wait to get started with this. I think I might do a series of adaptations of some old Gothic tales since I can't think of what else I want to do.

RE: Howdy - anyone from Nano?

Hello!
I did NaNo for the first time this year, and sadly didn't meet the goal. BUT I did write more than I have before, so I guess I can't complain.
Not sure what I'll do for script frenzy, but I have a few original ideas. Anyone planning on any write-ins?

RE: Howdy - anyone from Nano?

Hello!

I did NaNo for the first time this year, too. I'm not sure what I'm going to do for Script Frenzy--perhaps an adaptation of a completed novel of mine, or a completely different story. I've never done a script before.

Check the Write-Ins thread and post your location and preferred dates!

It's great that you wrote more than you ever have before -- that's all that you can do! It took me _6_ years before I finally won Nano!

How did you do in the Nano?

You may want to check out some of the software linked to in the resources section - celtx can handle all the formatting issues, and it's free. I still need to play with it more.

*waves* Here from Nano. I'll be working on turning the novel I made into a screenplay. I'd die of happiness to see it as a movie, one day.

Hello-o-o-o-o people of Screnzy-land!

My first NaNo was last year. So much fun. I wrote a Christian fantasy and only got to the 50k mark through very long chapter titles and other such adventures...I completed my novel with 9000 more words to go. XD

That's great that you went on to finish the story! I still haven't attempted to detangle mine (full of metawriting, planning, and false starts.) oh well.

Webpixi:
It's historical fiction. :) I can't really count it as romance, because you technically have to have a happy ending in those. :P
