Pagecounter is getting me down

It's pretty and all, but it's not as nice as NANO's.

I miss the feature where you can see how much you did per day in a lovely little graph. That really motivated me. Mostly in a looking at my buddies and saying "oh no, they did TWELVE pages in one day! I need to work harder" sort of way. Any chance of a slight upgrade on that feature during the month?

RE: Pagecounter is getting me down

I KNOW! Don't understand why they couldn't have used exactly the same system. "If it aint broke..." and all that...

RE: Pagecounter is getting me down

I'll second that. I find NaNo's visual depiction of daily progress very helpful.

RE: Pagecounter is getting me down

It's definitely on the wishlist.

But right now our fundraising has barely crossed the threshold of paying for hosting costs for the challenge.

Check out this page on how you can support us:

(Yes, there are things you can do besides donate money for those who are broke!)

RE: Pagecounter is getting me down

I think that the problem is that ScriptFrenzy is trying to all of the sudden become NaNo. NaNo is succesful because it has been around for nearly a decade and has 100,000 participants. ScriptFrenzy has less than 8,000. So if every single participant donated $10, which would be crazy awesome, then the budget would still be short 20 or 30 grand. ScriptFrenzy needs to pace itself...

RE: Pagecounter is getting me down

It honestly absolutely never occured to me it was a money issue. I just thought, "Oh, that was cool, it would be nice to have that." So now I have a good reason to contribute some funds!

ScriptFrenzy is an really fun thing and I'm happy to help out!
