I just watched The Mist. I missed it (Hah!) in theatres, and once I heard that there was a different ending from the novella I scrupulously avoided getting spoiled.

All I can say is: Oh My GOD. Holy freaking shiznit. I don't want to discuss it specifically because I don't know how many people in here have seen it, but if you haven't seen it and haven't had the ending spoiled, GO RENT IT NOW.

It is horrific, tragic, and utterly satisfying in a way that I Am Legend (the film) could only pretend to be.

I wish I had seen The Mist in theatres. I think I would have cried.

I haven't watched it, but I have seen the previews that show what is in the mist (I'm annoyed by that, actually). Even with those spoilers, is it still worth watching? My husband and I have been wanting to see it, but were irritated by the previews that show too much.

No, the trailers don't even BEGIN to spoil this movie. Only specific details can truly spoil it.

Now, if you want a trailer that leads you by the nose, point-by-point, through the entire movie, watch the Incredible Hulk trailer (the new one, with Edward Norton). Literally the entire movie compressed into a two minute clip.

I saw this movie. Hilarious. "Mystery Science Theater 3000" fodder.
The idea was a good one but the film fell flat due to the cheesy dialog and the poorly rendered CGI creatures.

The novella was made of canned Jesus and amazing (it's like Lovecraft in a way, but very... down-to-earth). So I plan to rent the film at some point.
