This weekend is a pretty cool weekend. It is the second weekend during the Frenzy and it falls just before the halfway point.

Where ever you are with your page count I urge you to take full advantage of these two glorious writing days. Get up on Saturday morning and write three pages–even if you have to set your alarm clock or tether a rooster to your bedpost. In the afternoon get in three more pages. Cancel your plans for that 80’s bash you were going to tease your hair for and write three more pages Saturday night. (Trust me, there is always another 80’s party.)

It will feel like magic if you do it. Here’s how the math breaks down… nine pages is just under a tenth of your total goal. And you can conquer that in a single day! Now, imagine if you write another nine pages on Sunday. (Oh my, stay with me! The story is just starting to get exciting!) That is a total of 18 pages which is an un-teased hair under twenty percent. Twenty percent in a single weekend! Forget leaping buildings in a single bound–you can complete nearly twenty percent in a single weekend.

Do not let this weekend go without a fight. Your future self will thank you.
