Non-productive Silence

Wow, it's so dead quiet around here. I think I'm more used to NANO's chatter.

You'd think with the lack of chatting, we'd have some really good page counts, but nope. Here I am, way behind schedule, and it looks as though I'm doing better than most.

What can we do to pull ourselves out of the fire? Any ideas? Thoughts? Offers to write my project for me?

RE: Non-productive Silence

How right you are! It's quiet... too quiet...

I dropped off the map because of last minute edits on a book I thought was already finished. That's good because it pays the bills. That's bad because I've totally gotten off track with my script.

And, because I have the attention span of a gnat, I'm no longer interested in the story I was writing. I think I'll have to lock myself up and start over.

Perhaps, as we move into the last part of the frenzy, we should consider some online collaboration for motivation?

Anyone in favor of an online write-in Wednesday evening? We can meet for one hour and then compare word counts. Highest word count wins a miniature rubber chicken and membership in the elite Rubber Chicken Society.

Post if you'd be interested in participating in a write-in!

RE: Non-productive Silence

It is quiet, but I've been wrapped up with medical problems in my household. My comatose daughter got sick and had to go to hospital. while there she had her gall bladder removed and after a week we were back home again fighting the fever and chest congestion we're still fighting. My husband a few days ago became almost bedridden when he fell and hurt his knee so my CNA daughter had to come help with Pamela and him.

I've only written two scenes for my script and now I'm unsure how to do the next one. If it's possible to do online collaboration, then tell me how and I'll be glad to try it. When you say Wednesday, did you mean the past Wednesday or April 23rd? Tell me what to do to participate.

RE: Non-productive Silence

Geez Lucille!! You actually have real reasons for not writing. I'm in awe of you that you still want to write. That's true dedication.

I was thinking of our online write-in being all of us starting at the same time and writing non-stop dribble until the end of the hour. Then we compare word counts and see who wins.

However, if it would be more useful for us to have a "Where do I go from here?" and "How can I get back into this?" session, that would be marvelous too! We would just meet online Wednesday evening around 7 pm and post our questions, challenges, requests, etc., and have an online chat.

I'm open to whatever you folks want to do!

RE: Non-productive Silence

I could use the motivation right now. Tonight (Wed) at 7 sounds good to me.
