Adaptation & Shakespeare

Well, I'm currently writing an adaptation of "Taming of the Shrew" where ALL the characters have switched sexes (even the minor ones), making for great fun, and the setting is modernized. What do you all think? I know some of the clever innuendo is lost, but I think it's cool.

RE: Adaptation & Shakespeare

That's a great idea! I always thought Shakespeare was being a little hard on women, but if you switch it around, you could make all sorts of new jokes/innuendos that have the potential to be even funnier than the originals :)

RE: Adaptation & Shakespeare

That should be really cool. I did a (roughly) ten-minute version of A Midsummer Night's Dream. I had to cut out a lot, but it made some of it even funnier. Good luck with yours!
