RE: Yatta!

118 as of 7 p.m. tonight. But there's a lot of dross here and a lot of scenes that were imagination first, practical shooting considerations 2d. A few more pages are intensely "meh." I want to get it down to somewhere around 70 pages before the tough cuts have to come down.

So I'll dance a happy 118 SLOPPY FIRST DRAFT dance.

RE: Yatta!

Kara overkilled her script.

What's really sad is that this is after editing. And I didn't write very much in the way of scene description.

Looks like I've got an infinite series going here.

RE: Yatta!

just reached 100!

It's not all written yet. I just realized how I'm going to end it.

I think I'll do a waltz.

RE: Yatta!

WAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Yatta zeeeeeeeeeeeee!
UWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I promised myself I'd post to this forum. So, hungry for a Script Frenzy victory and impatient to finish my first two issues (Spanner turned out to be a serial after all), I wrote 28 pages. Tonight.

I downed my 48-oz. Rockstar energy drink (sugar free to be sure). I did my Buddhist thing to get my life condition up to somewhere close to optimal. I turned my radio to local station KNHC (C89.5) to listen to my favorite radio show, The Vortex. I settled into the hypomanic state I need to be in if I want to get seriously productive in my writing and drawing. And, wanting to finish #1 and write as much of #2 as possible (at least up to the scene where Shira and her cousins Jennifer, Karen, and Saffron rescue Leila when the latter tries to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge) and craving the status of "winner" beyond all reason, I whipped out 28 pages like it was nothing. And when I reached exactly 100 pages as I finished #1, I did a wild victory dance to the pounding house music!

And the amazing thing is that my script needs almost no rewriting! Actually, I did some rewriting earlier in the month to make the story coherent, but that was earlier. I wrote most of #2 without an outline, and still it came out almost perfect! All my practice in writing comics scripts over the years has finally paid off big time.

*closet raver goes: clear out living room, dance dance dance!*

Next destination: NaNoMangO in June! I'd better get drawing...

RE: Yatta!

I did it! Whee! 101 pages doesn't even finish Act I of Wedding Tarot, but I will finish it soon, I just wanted to validate so I can shift to the revamp my webcomic is getting this week at it's Year 1 anniversary. In June I plan to start scripting Act II (another 100+ pages) and have Act III finished by the end of the year. It's going to be a massive book when all is said and done but it's going to be magnificent!
