I asked this in the Celtx online forums, but really didn't get an answer, so I thought I'd ask you.

Can Celtx create a Cast of Characters page?
If so, HOW?

If it has to do with tagging characters, how is that done on the MAC version?

It isn't exactly a cast of characters in the way you mean (I think), but you can get a list of who is in which scene (Windows, Portable Celtx version)

Click the Reports tab.
From the Reports list on the left, select Elements.
Above the main script window there are two sections: Scene and elements. From the Elements section, select Character. Scene should default to all.

This will list all your scenes and who has dialog in that scene. Not helpful if you have characters that don't have dialog, but it's one option.

This is a good question and one that should have an easy answer. I haven't found it though.

I created my own cast of charcaters (by hand) on the characters form provided. I had dutifully made character notes through the "add character" feature. I thought that would automatically update my "cast of characters" page, but it didn't.

So I'll echo your question. What's the easy way to do this?

Apparently, the Cast of Characters is NOT available for Screenplays (I got a message from someone that it does work for Stage plays though). *sigh*
