North Alabama Iron Man TGIO party

Hubbie Bryan suggested that we go out for the 7ish viewing of IRON MAN next Friday night, May 2, for our TGIO/thank goodness it's over party. This would be at the Hollywood 18 in Huntsville on South Parkway if it's showing there, just South past the baseball stadium and the Irish pub Finnegan's. If it's not playing at this theatre, we'd go to the Rave behind our B&N-Bailey Cove write-in location.

We would suggest whichever viewing is closest to 7 p.m., meet half an hour before the start inside the lobby or come into the theater and scream "Script Frenzy." It's not the same as screaming "fire," after all.

We've got our regular HLA/NASFCAS write-ins going at Barnes & Noble, Noon to 2 p.m. on these dates and locations:

Second Sat., April 12, B&N, University Dr.

Fourth Sat, April 26, B&N, Bailey Cove Rd.

Also, on April 5, some of us will be attending the Gena Ellis screenwriting workshop, 4-6 p.m. at Flying Monkey, Lowe Mill -- see separate topic at this forum for more details entitled "April 5 Screenwriting workshop with Gena Ellis." Thanks!

I may have scheduled write-ins at the Coffee Tree on Bailey Cove Rd. at Willowbrook Dr. on April 5 and April 19. (Sorry, my brain is already buzzard-fodder this week!) If so, the time is 2:00-4:00 p.m. (leaving a bit earlier on April 5 to make the workshop, however). I will check with the shop and correct the posts here.

Hi. The next write in will be this Wednesday, April 9 at OHenry's Coffee shop in Homewood. 8:00 until...whenever we get tired.

Natalie is sneaking carrot cake in for us! Hope to see you there. If these times are bad for you, please let me know and maybe we can work something out...I would love for more of us to write together!

I plan to write a 50,000 word novel (whatever pages that would be) worth of TV script pilots this month. The Frenzy staff has added TV pilots to the writing options this year. Information about TV script writng can be found in the Writer's Resources above.

Since last year, I thought about writing novels with a series of TV script sized stroies inside them. Each novel would be the same TV show (with several TV show stories in them).

So now I know the size a TV script needs to be, I am ready to roll with the idea.

Birmingham Area Kick off party!

Hey folks. Elisa here, the Birmingham area ML. I have a kick off party scheduled for Sunday, March 30. 7-9 At Johnathon Benton Bookseller in Mountain Brook Village. I will post directions soon. There will be snacks, screenplays to peruse, plus the added bonus of being surrounded by books! Last year we had a blast, and this year I am planning lots of fun write-ins and coffee induced insanity.

For Alabama:North, let's do our kick-off

Where: in Huntsville at the Coffee Tree coffee shop and book store at the intersection of Bailey Cove Rd. and Willowbrook Dr. (across from Grissom High School and roughly behind the Amoco station on the corner).

We will have the table just inside the book shop area.

When: on Saturday, March 29 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

I have an Edmo edit-in there the previous two hours (from 2 to 4 p.m, so come early and drop by and urge on our editing efforts if you'd like) If anyone gets hungry, the Coffee Tree has sandwiches and salads or we can retire to the Casa Blanca restaurant down the strip for more talk of screenplays, stage plays, or any of the other new eligible forms.
