Crime/Gangster/Thriller/Mystery
Lack of story
I am stuck! I am at 29 or 30 pages and I am catching myself adding extra plots that I hadn't planned on to get to 100 pages is that normal? Help please! Here is my script !
__________________________How to make a mystery
So.. my script started out as a romantic drama, but its getting to boring, so I am thinking of changing it to a mystery or perhaps action/thriller... The basic idea before was a young american girl whose parents have sacrifised everything for to get her into a high society ladies finishing school in London.. the story was supposed to take place after graduating and coming back to America. There she meets a young man that is her parents dreams for her marriage, but although he seems the guy of her dreams shes not so sure...

I need a NAME...( hear my whiney voice)
...for a gang. Their rival gang is/am/are the Kamikazes (they're mostly Japanese, but all members are Asian), but I'm toying with the idea that this one is either ALL French or...normal. You know, mixed races. I just thought it would be funny to have random French swear words/and/or French accents.
But you get the idea. I just need a hardcore gang name. Suggestions?
And then I need a nickname for a small mafia group in this one town... sort of a street-talk reference to it.
__________________________My Whydunit Script
Basically, a few mid to late 20 somethings find out "the truth" about the JFK assassination. They are pursued by the NSA, seeking out help from the mysterious "GW Ferguson". Also thought about them go back in time to 11/22/63, but not sure about that yet.
Yes, I'm pantsing it.

Psychological Thrillers, Anyone?
I am uncertain which forum this post should go in. I define my (waiting to started) screenplay as a psychological thriller with sci-fi elements. I saw the "/Thriller/" posted here and thought it fit better than the others, but it seems as if most of the subjects here have to do with the first two and final third part of the forum title . . . is it a description of a single type of film or a combination of a variety of them? Would I be better off in the "other genre" category?
__________________________Who's writing noir?
So I have abso-bloody-lutely no history in writing Noir, but since I love those movies so damn much I decided to try it out for Frenzy. Btw I think Frenzy and Nano are the perfect moments to try new stuff out. Get out of your zone a bit...
Anybody out there writing a noir? If so feel free to add me as a buddy :)
And a great frenzy for all of us!

Information about con-men
I have decided the break the cardinal rule of writing, and write about something I have not the foggiest clue about.
That's right. Con-men.
Which I know absolutely nothing about.
I am trying to cheat me way out of this one by concentrating more on what they do, and not necessarily how they do it. Being a stage play, I feel I might get away with this.
Still, I would like to know a bit more about con-mean. I have already read Catch Me if You Can, which is the only book on the subject at my local library.
Web pages and movies would be great suggestions
__________________________Is this good? Is it a thriller or mystery or am I in the wrong category ?
I"m writing about this girl who has gotten into every college except for the one she really wants to go to in London. So she is 18 and has a few thousand dollars and goes to London to figure out why she didn't get in. While there she meets some people including the headmasters son (who she will fall in love with) and the find out a secret about the college that could change everything.
__________________________Noir Murder Mystery
I'm looking at doing some murder mystery work. Now I know that the best way is generally to come up with "who the killer is" first and work backwards in this type of a situation, but are there any good resources on dropping clues subtly and the like? Anything worth reading up on?
__________________________Writing a classic British crime film
Hey members of Script Frenzy. This is my first year writing here (hopefully first of many) and I thought I’d play it safe with a genre I studied at college and have an idea about. I've written a few scripts before but nothing like this task, which is exciting me.
