The branches of a mostly barren oak, shuddering in the wind, are silhouetted against an indigo sky as shreds of clouds skitter across a gibbous Autumn moon. In the foreground near the tree, we see the profile of a large wolf as he looks to the east, and we follow his gaze across the countryside to
A stone fairy-tale castle sits on a rise. A warm light illuminates a window in one of the towers. One side of the window bangs in the wind, and just as we are about to look in, one of the nurses comes and pulls the window fast and draws the curtain before it.
THE QUEEN
Why me? Why should I have to endure this humiliation? I am a queen, after all. My father was a king, my mother was a queen! Nine months of walking around looking like a bear ready for Winter, and now this! It isn’t fair, I tell you! I am royalty!
