| Favorite films/plays | The Mighty Boosh, Lost before it got weird (primarliy the first season), Chuck, Futurama, the good Star Wars movies, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, anything and everything Harry Potter, Extras, Burn Notice (occasionally), Y The Last Man, The Incredibles, Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears, Talespin, most things by Mel Brooks, Moulin Rouge, Muppet Treasure Island, The Others, The Princess Bride, most things Sherlock Holmes, Firefly, the first two seasons of Sliders, just about any Pixar movie except Cars; oh, and these books: everything Jasper Fforde ever wrote, the Count of Monte Cristo, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, Sideways Stories from Wayside School, The Hobbit, the works of Flann O'Brien, most things written by Poe, a couple of stories by Neil Gaiman -- "A Study in Emerald" and "Forbidden Brides of the Faceless Slaves in the Secret House of the Night of Dread Desire" stand out, Grimm's Tales, Arabian Nights, His Dark Materials, Star Wars novels from, oh, before 1998 or so, and Michael Crichton books that follow his formula more closely, such as Jurassic Park, Congo, and Timeline. Also, I am a connoisseur of all bad fiction; for this reason I own such things as Battlefield Earth, Highlander 2, and the Eragon books (and film!), plus so many more I dare not mention... |
