EXT. CUSTARD STREET - NIGHT

The sun is setting; you hear the sounds of CRICKETS in the distance, and birds CHIRPING in the trees. Every house on the block is exactly the same, with blue paint and yellow trim. A few houses have a SPRINKLER on in their yards. There are children running around and PLAYING.

CAMERA starts out looking at the sky, then slowly pans down, eye level with the street.

NARRATOR
Once upon an evening, unlike most evenings. Everything to the naked eye appeared to be normal and sane.

We hear NARRATOR while showing a

SERIES OF SHOTS:

Birds ruffling their feathers

A little old woman getting up from her swinging chair on her porch to go in

Children playing in the streets

A MOTHER gestures for her kids to come in

A man drives TOWARDS the CAMERA and pulls into a driveway on our right.

An empty street

END OF SERIES.

NARRATOR (CONT'D)
The birds were preparing their nests for bed, the crickets were beginning to stir and the old woman down the street retired from her porch to enjoy her nightly routine of cocoa sipping.
The children playing outside were forced to return home like usual
and the man in the business suit pulled into his driveway after a long day at work, although everyone knew that his late night returns were the works of non other but a mistress. Everything was perfect and normal, well as normal as life could get, until now.
