Introduce yourself, others or no-one if you feel like it. |
So in the absence of a Newbies thread, this will have to do.
My names Matt. I'm 25. I've never written a full screenplay before. Previously I've attempted Nanowrimo once in 2007 and won. I'm still plodding along with it currently with 102K words. I've abandoned two other novels that i've started, each at around the 65K mark.
But I'm looking forward to this. It should be fun. Anyone else?

My name is LittleFarmGirl (whose farm no longer has any animals), or you can call me LFG. I live in Iceland, or at least I like to make people think I do. Last year I dropped out halfway through when I ran into an immovable obstacle in the form of Reality, and I failed last NaNo when my house burnt up and I didn't have a computer. I intend to succeed in both challenges this year.

My name's Rachel, I'm 18, I'm a 3 year NaNoWriMo winner, and a 1 year Script Frenzy winner. xD So obviously I have written a screenplay before. I actually spent all last month editing my screenplay from last year, in preperation for the formatting and such again. My characters rambled a lot. o.O
I'm ridiculously excited about this year. ^_^

Hey my name is Hope and I'm a two time nanoer, one time winner, and winner of ScriptFrenzy last year:D I decided a few weeks ago that the one hundred page script wasn't challanging enough, so I'm doing two screenplays this year! One of them I'll be doing with a partner who knows nothing about what she's getting herself into:):)

RE: Introduce yourself, others or no-one if you feel like it. |
I'm Lauren. I'm a three time Nano loser and one time SF loser. But I am currently, like this very moment, working on the 6th to last scene of the project for my screenwriting class that's due on Thursday so I'll be done with my first completely finished script within the next couple days. Right now, I'm terrified of the incoming Thursday of Doom where we will be reading the script in class and *gulp* critiques... But its all for the learning expirence, right?
Anyways, right now I'm... well, actually right now I'm procrastinating working on that project but in a couple days I will be putting all my creative energy into deciding between four of the ideas I've been fiddling around with. It's between a straight up, hardcore drama, a light-hearted, darkly comedic drama, an 80's style comdey and a mockumentary tv series. Though my pops is rooting for the tv series and a kid from school is practically begging me to do the comedy, the hardcore drama is in the lead in my book.

I'm Roger, female. This is my first time doing Screnzy and, in November, it'll be my first time NaNoing, too.
I live in Australia, so in my timezone I signed up on the first of March. But in a LOT of timezones I signed up on the 29th of February... something which I'm absurdly proud of.
Even after reading through the guides, I've still got no idea how to format this thing. I'll have to download a free software, I guess.
Oh, and my name isn't actually Roger. :-)

I'm Ceci, aka rebeldork, and I've done NaNo 3 times (and won all) as well as various other wrimos, but I've never written a script before, so this will be new :) I'm excited, though I'll be very busy (play rehersal until 5 each night) so I might have some issues writing, but maybe I'll write by hand.

2006: The Passion of Resentment (50k)

RE: Introduce yourself, others or no-one if you feel like it. |
Hello everyone! I'm Alex(andra), and here's three random facts:
1) I am currently trying to get only 3 hours of sleep a day through 6 half hour naps spaced 4 hours apart each
2) It's my first time Frenzying (and I haven't done NaNo either)
3) I'm wearing four various items in neon colors right now, in the form of tights, eyeshadow (2 shades!), and a necklace
Ceci: Yay, a theatre bum! What play are you doing?

RE: Introduce yourself, others or no-one if you feel like it. |
Well, I feel like an idiot. I thought the 'check in station' was the place to check in as a newbie. D'oh! Well I'll just repeat that introduction here, and hope that my other thread is deleted...
I'm Kel, and I'm a newbie. Here is my own personal logline:
An aspiring novelist from the snow-covered boonies of Maine takes an incredible caffeine-fueled journey into Screnzyland, in search of adventure...
(Wait a minute. That's not right. Technically I've journeyed here in search of DRAMA, since that's my genre.)
...in search of drama.
Or, you know...something like that.
I've never written a screenplay before, and my first attempt will be an adaptation of my 2006 NaNoNovel Waiting for Spring.
Which characters survive the adaptation process? What subplots end up in the dreaded Delete File? And how much convincing will it take to get Kate Winslet get to star in my movie?
Stay tuned...

RE: Introduce yourself, others or no-one if you feel like it. |
I'm Kitty, 16, from England. I'm a three-time NaNoer, two-time winner, and one-time Screnzy winner.
This year I'm going to be attempting to write a full-length movie script and pass my AS level HUUUUGE exams in May... Hhmm... I think I could be busy this year around?
Also, this year, I'm writing by myself. Last year I collaborated with a friend, though that was more pain than it was fun, and it will be.... well, different, this year.
