English AS/A2 level students?

Ew. My exams for my AS levels are in May, which means through April I should be revising. I don't think I should be attempting this, but I probably will be anyway. My goal is to actually get the thing finished in the first half of the month and revise for the rest of it.

Anybody else stuck in the same position?
Anybody else stupid enough to try it, like me? =B

RE: English AS/A2 level students?

I've got my A2s in May/June...and I am more than stupid enough to try it.
I tried last year, too...sadly, June was very bad timing, and so I didn't finish :(
Two good things keeping me going, though:
=>Easter holidays - i have the first week of April to myself :D
=>The less time you have to write, the more likely it is to get written. Therefore, the press of exams may prove useful.

And, there is always the options of making my characters geeks in each of my subjects, so I can just have them repeat my revision notes at will :D

So, best of luck with ScriptFrenzy and the evil, evil exams :D

RE: English AS/A2 level students?

Good luck to you too!
:D
Yeah, I remember in November once we had Science modular exams and loads of coursework, and I was doing NaNo. It made it easier to focus because I had to divide time more carefully. I'm hoping this will happen this time as well xD

RE: English AS/A2 level students?

Awww, exam pressure... I almost miss it.

I did my first NaNo during my A2 year, which, it turned out, was a bit foolish as I was also trying to write three pieces of coursework at the time. Still, I did it, and I actually found NaNo a lot harder this year (I'm on a gap year). Script Frenzy was a breeze for me last year as I'd finished my exams by the middle of June, but even before that, it wasn't a problem at all.

Anyway, as KayTea said, the pressure of having revision/exams to juggle with writing means you get on with it when you have the time. I have a funny feeling I'm going to spend more of April procrastinating than actually writing...

I don't know if I count but my English class is a college course intergrated with AP American History. All my exams are in April which means I am battling the review rush along with Script Frenzy.

RE: English AS/A2 level students?

I feel a bit guilty because I haven't done a single bit of revision even in the first week when I had lots of time. I'm not too worried though since my teachers told me I'm on pretty safe ground.

Oh and I'm in A2 by the way.

RE: English AS/A2 level students?

Yeah, I've got AS levels in May. I know I ought to be revising instead of scripting. Although, it's not English I'm worried about, because that's a fairly easy subject and I got an A for it in January. I'm fretting about Psychology beause I got a D for that. Revision is just something I've never done, and it's a difficult habit to pick up, especially around scriptwriting.

RE: English AS/A2 level students?

I'm currently studying for A2s and I'm starting my revision, nightmare. I need to get at least 2 Bs to get into the uni I've chosen. This also means I'm trying to get this finished by the 21st so I can really focus the rest of this month.

Hugs to everyone else trying this. Last year was even worse when it was in June and I had my AS exams. I managed to win and pass my exams, still can't quite believe it.
We are nuts, but we can do this!!!

It is possible to Screnzy and pass A-levels - I promise! I completed my script last year AND got 3 As (in German, Media and History).
