Welcome to Script Frenzy, Kentucky! Introductions here!

Renee here, I am the municipal liaison for Lexington, Kentucky. We do not have our own regional forum this year, but if we have a big enough group this year, I bet we could get one.

Is everyone excited? I am. This is going to be a fun April. Want to help publicize the event? Flyers are available for download in the Writer's Resources section. Please feel free to get them out there so we have a great Script Frenzy. For my part, I will be posting them wherever I can as soon as I get more printer ink.

This is my second attempt at Script Frenzy, and hopefully my first win. This year I am working on a stage play instead of a screen play, to see if that happens to move me a bit more. I'll be using the freeware program Celtx to help me with formatting.

Please introduce yourself, whether you are from Lexington or not. I hope to meet many of you over the course of April.

RE: Welcome to Script Frenzy, Kentucky! Introductions here!

Hiya, Renee! I'm Virginia, and while I wrote with the Louisville group last year, I am hoping for another win this year with the Lexington crowd! I'm a student at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY, and a long-time participant (and looser) of NaNoWriMo. :)

I'm not sure yet how I feel about SF being in April. That's a very busy month for me, because of stage performances, concerts, finals prep, and my 21st birthday, but I'm sure I'll get through fine if I just prioritize.

And Celtx is a gift from God, by the way. It totally saved me last year.

RE: Welcome to Script Frenzy, Kentucky! Introductions here!

Hullo all. I'm Edward, from Lexington, though I work in Georgetown. This is my second ScriptFrenzy (and I've done NaNoWriMo the past two years).

Never tried Celtx; last year I tried to use the Microsoft Word screenplay template from the files section, but it didn't work right with my eleven-year-old version of Word, so I just used paragraph styles, which seemed a lot easier than learning some new program, especially since I'm not exactly planning to try selling the script to some Hollywood studio.

Speaking of which, has anyone from the area tried selling (or filming) their scripts from last year?

I'll post some flyers where I work (ArtWorks).

I'm Chelsy, from Elizabethtown. I've done NaNo for two years, but this is my first Script Frenzy. I'm anxious but excited as well- I need something to tide me over until NaNo rolls back around!
