Introduce yourself!

Please reply to this thread with a brief paragraph about yourself, your S/F project, and what you hope to achieve this month. Also, if you know what genre & form you'll be writing in, mention it as well.

As for me:

This is my first year doing S/F and will be my third full NaNoWriMo later this year in November. Fot S/F I'll be writing a screenplay in the Sci Fi genre focusing on a story I've had in my head for quite some time.

When not writing, I try to find new places in the city to host write-ins, find new restaurants to take my friends out to, and generally spend time with my cat Suki (since she gives me meow-lectures when I spend too much time away from home).

I look forward to hearing from everyone else!

RE: Introduce yourself!

Hello!

This is my first year doing Script Frenzy and, God willing, it will be my third NaNoWriMo later this year.

I haven't the slightest clue what I'll be writing about and am totally clueless about writing a script, so it should be a fun month!

RE: Introduce yourself!

Yay! We're almost to ScriptFrenzy month!

I signed up for ScriptFrenzy last year and did absolutely nothing for it. Except buy a t-shirt and look forward to this year. So, I'm revved and ready. I've also done various Nanos since 2001 or so, being successful in 2 of them.

I've also written about 4 or 5 never-produced screen classics, including that tender holiday yarn, "I Saw Mommy Killing Santa Claus," and the light and sensitive ode to female empowerment, "Wimmins n' Guns."

RE: Introduce yourself!

Told ya I'd be your stalker in April.

Unless something drastic happens like a job that sucks up all of my time or something, of course.

RE: Introduce yourself!

Whoah! I almost forgot about ScriptFrenzy!

I did my first NaNoWriMo last November and this is my first Script Frenzy. I don't know what I'm doing! I read a bunch of tutorials and sample scripts. This is going to be a challenge.

Since I totally forgot this was coming up, I have no idea what I'm going to write. I'm definitely going to write a script and I'm leaning towards Horror or Horror Comedy.

RE: Introduce yourself!

Hi there, I'm Louisa. I have a rather unhealthy (I think) obsession with crime, medical, and sci-fi books, tv, movies, etc. I've attempted and won in two NaNo's and one S/F thus far and am really looking forward to this April!

So that makes this my second Screnzy, and despite the fact that I have absolutely no idea what I'll be writing about yet I'm pretty psyched.

When I'm not writing or reading, I tend to be cooking, designing websites, playing viola, sewing costumes for the latest play or musical my school is doing or baking sweet sugary things.

I am the proud owner of one rather crazy (in a good way) coonhound named Cali who frequently feels the need to talk at me while I'm typing.

NaNo 2007: Not Even Coffee Breaks? (Mystery/Suspense | 52,376/50,000)

RE: Introduce yourself!

I'm a writer getting ready to shop my latest novel around. I did NaNoWriMo for the first time last year and am looking forward to this November. I wasn't going to do Script Frenzy but a friend talked me into it. It was a weird coincedence, I'd gotten an idea for a script - though I've never written one - and then suddenly my friend said she was signing up for Script Frenzy and I should too. I've never written a script before and feel grossly unprepared.

My idea is...I guess it's adventure. I envision it as a television show so I'll probably be writing two episodes or a long pilot...not sure.

I did not take advantage of the write-ins for NaNo so I'm going to make a real effort to do so this time out.

Hopefully I'll see some of you soon!

RE: Introduce yourself!

Welcome!

I decided to write a screenplay version of my 2006 NaNo for much of the same reason, so I feel for ya.

Are you planning on any of the upcoming write ins or the Primer at the end of the month?

RE: Introduce yourself!

S/F *did* kinda sneak up on me too. I was sitting at work one day and realized, "omg, I have to start organizing Script Frenzy stuff!"

You should come to a few of the pre-April write-in sessions to warm up. Perhaps you'll get some inspiration!

RE: Introduce yourself!

Welcome back!

My kitty Suki is exactly the same. She sees a laptop on my lap and thinks, "But *I'm* the warm thing that sits there!"

Are Tuesdays good for you for write-in sessions? So far it's been NaNo regulars at the off season write in nights...
