Since we're focusing on pages instead of words is there a possibility of adapting the NaNoWrimo Word Widget into a Script Frenzy Page Widget?

Excellent idea! It would be especially nice if the SF web designers could put together a Page Count API like the Wordcount API for NaNoWriMo; it would give developers a way of getting the data without putting too much load on the servers and it'd be easier on people trying to create widgets. But I suspect the web gurus are busy enough as it is.

That said, I think I'll still try to hack something together based on some of the counters from NaNo... It will be an interesting challenge, if nothing else!

I put together a functional pagecount widget based on some of the NaNo wordcount widgets. I still have some work to do and I need a place to host it, but if anyone has a dedicated server to spare and a basic knowledge of PHP I'm putting my work up at http://kg6gfq.awardspace.com/index.php/pagewidgets.
