So I was wondering what everyone named/planned on naming/thought about nameing their main characters.

Currently I have four MC's. Piper, Rumer, Quinn, and Safia.

I have two so far, Jasper and Charlie (Charlie is a girl, short for Charlotte).
I'm fairly certain about Jasper, Charlie stays until I find anything better.

Mine are very plain, because I generally like plain names, though sometimes I do go crazy.

My MC's are: Eric, Ellen, Jake, Father Mark. I have two more, but they currently don't have names, :D

Allison and Eliza, sisters.

Well the main characters are: Elijah (Eli) and Carrington. The other characters are: Sheridan, Vincent, Andrew, Cassidy.

The main character is Ava Grace and her love interest in Nathaniel. All the character's names in this movie are carefully thought out and actually have meanings for once...usually when I write, I just choose names that I think sound nice and seem to fit the character :-P

Ophelia, Leon, Joe.

Ophelia, my title character, is a spunky teenaged girl shipped cross country following the death of her father in order to live with her neo-conservative mother, her mother's equally fanatic new family, and her older brother, in the Floridian suburbs.

Leon is Ophelia's older brother. They haven't grown up together at all and, consequently, have nothing in common. He's president of Young Life, SPEC, FISH, and FCA. He thinks their father died of AIDS.

Joe is possibly my favorite character, actually. He's the homosexual life-partner of Ophelia and Leon's deceased father and basically more of a parent to Felly than her mother is. One of the subplots of the movie is him trying to find a way to get the legal system to let him extract Ophelia from Florida so she can stay in California with him.

Ophelia came from Hamlet, which he had to read earlier this year. Leon is a bastardization of Laertes, the brother of Ophelia's namesake. Joe is short for Joseph, but it really doesn't matter because I picked it strictly because it popped into my head and stuck.

Demi, Sheyna and Jack are the characters I have named so far.

Demi is a female to male transgender teen. I named his this because "Demi" means half in French, and he feels torn between his physical sex and his true mental gender.

Sheyna is a straight-edge Jewish goth lesbian. She is an overachiever. She is modeled on my best friend, who likes the name Sheyna a lot, hence my choice.

Jack is Demi's boyfriend. I picked the name Jack because it represents maleness (As in, Jack vs. Jill) and Demi envies Jack's natural masculinity.

Main characters - divided between a family of six. I make a point to name all characters before writing. It's awkward just to write 'I was just talking to X' all the time.

Anyway - Ben, Kate, Will, Jamie, Sophie and Brenda. Main main characters? Ben and Kate probably. If anything it's about their marriage (and a generous dollop of everything else).

My MC is, without a doubt, Mimi. She featured in my NaNo novel, as well as various other pieces of writing I've done, and I just can't get rid of her!

Jake, her sort-of love interest, might make an appearance too, but I want to try out some new characters, too.

No names for those yet, but I know one of them is a dog and one is an old man with a beard down to his feet :3

My MC's name is Birgit, pronounced bur-GEET if you pronounce it properly, but people rarely do; she often gets called things like Bridget and BUR-jet. Last name, Sanchia. The other three central characters are Cathy, Caroline, and Kalypso. The teacher is Ms. Kelley, I think.

In the "play within a play", there are four characters: Tink, Jackie, Jack, and The Elf/Santa.
