I need to help deciding a Genre for my Script

My script is going to be about two guys that fall in love under strange circumstances there might be hot action and stuff. I'm not sure if it should be in Drama or what.

Risya,
What kind of circumstances will they meet? Funny, bumping into each other at the gourmet hot dog stand? Or bumping into each other when one is trying to deliver an elaborate wedding cake and the other attempting to crash the wedding? What kind of action? Sci-Fi cops or a high tech diamond heist? Surfing or snowboarding? At the horse races or tennis match? I think that when you figure out a few of those things, your romantic drama or comedy will start to come through.

Dispense with established genre titles whenever possible...going off what you've intimated at, I'd say something like Mystery Erotica could work nicely. If that doesn't work, develop the plot further and tweak your themes and action until inspiration strikes...and then just keep going. Branding something prematurely (EX: titling a novel before you write it) often steals potential thunder and sparks needless headaches. write now, analyze later.

RE: I need to help deciding a Genre for my Script

Good point HTT. I was given a story to turn to script, and the writer is rather bizarre at any time, so his story appeared to be as well. I thought he only wanted a short skit, for two of us to act out. But no, he wants a full play, and as we both got together and all these strange ideas came out, each of us trying to outdo the other, it's become satire or even black humour. :)
