Adopt a Writer

I know this was on NaNoWriMo, so let's try and pick it up here...

A veteran of the writing life, or even just Script Frenzy, may "adopt" so to speak, another writer, whether they are a newbie or not. Post here to set yourself up for adoption, and those who want to take a writer under your wing may Private Message your new... kid, lol.

I think I'll put myself up for adoption, first:

I'm 17, female, and this is my first Frenzy. I'm trying a bit of drama this year, which usualy isn't in my feild, but oh well. My script is called Between Two Storms, about two young men who both served in the first world war, and now run a steamship back and forth across the Atlantic. I am looking forward to working with somebody!

(p.s. this does NOT count as a partnership, this is simply lending a helpful hand to somebody who needs/wants it.)

I'll adopt you!! <3

I'm Aphrodisia, 20, and I have done (and won!) NaNoWriMo for the past 6 consecutive years.

I did SF last year and failed miserably due to "RL issues," but I'm trying again this year.

You can Frenzymail me if you like, or email me at graceisbluelikeaphrodisia@gmail.com. My aim is auriulele, too, if you have it.

RE: Adopt a Writer

Hey I'll adopt anyone who is writing drama. I did Script Frenzy last year. I didn't win as I was too busy with college. Now I'm in a writing correspondence school, I have already took two new members under my wing for this and am willing to adopt anyone else. I am planning on taking a scriptwriting course at a local college maybe in September 2009. I study websites about scriptwriting whenever I can lol. I love this site and doing a script in a month! OH I'm highly energetic and I love motivating people like crazy even if I'm doing bad lol.

Sincerely Mindy

RE: Adopt a Writer

I'll adopt anyone who wants help with structure, plot, figuring out story details.

I've co-written several produced plays, unproduced feature scripts, and one unproduced tv series. My main interest is features.

My brain is accessible to anyone who can find it. It's not under the bed, I already looked.

RE: Adopt a Writer

Yeah, I'm new to this Scriptwriting thing (with the exception of a few skits I wrote in middle school for social studies) and could use occasional advice or encouragement. I did Nanowrimo for the first time this past year and had an awesome time, so I figured I'd give Screnzying a try.
Planning on writing a screenplay that's mostly comedy, kinda like Mystery Men (unlikely heroes with not the most awesome powers) who have to save the world. Anyone (newbie or screnzy expert) who wants to is welcome to add me as a buddy!

RE: Adopt a Writer

Um... I'll put myself up for adoption.

I'm 18 and this is my first frenzy. I've only written 2 dumb little 3 pages scripts and it's all weird and unnatural to me right now. My email is mebite12@gmail.com so yeah...my adoptive "parent" can contact me there or PM me here.

Thankies :3

RE: Adopt a Writer

I'll adopt anyone willing to rp their character for details.

I've written several screenplays in the past, and though i did do screnzy last year and failed terribly, i maintain it was the mono's fault and not mine XD

i'll also put myself up for adoption? i dont care, i need a writing buddy badly

RE: Adopt a Writer

I'm willing to help encourage people, if they need it, as well as vent about the problems with certain characters and plot. I don't have much experience, other than doing Screnzy last year, and was successful, but I'd be glad to push the encouragement.

I'm actually a little nervous that I won't be able to make it, since this April is going to be crazy for me... *sigh* I think I liked it better in June...I should order my t-shirt at least...

RE: Adopt a Writer

I'll put my self out for adoption, I'm a first timer. I've never written a screen play before. I tried Nano in the fall and failed mostly because of outside reasons, but I am looking forward to tomorrow and the start of my script. Any takers PM me I guess.

RE: Adopt a Writer

*waves hand*

20 year old, prolific Nano writer and 3 year winner (so far).

I made it about halfway through screnzy last year and then...dunno what happened. Anyway, never finished. *hangs head in shame*

Trying again this year, and figure it can't possibly be that hard, right? RIGHT?

Ack.

Anyone want to adopt poor little Kate? :D

RE: Adopt a Writer

Hey.

I'm Gemma. I'm 13 and this is my first frenzy. I haven't done nano before either since I only discovered this on March 30th! xD Anyways, I prefer writing novels and such and this is my first script and first frenzy so I really need a bit of help and support, I think. And a bit of advice!

I am writing a script called I Want My Money Back! which is about a couple divorcing which no one expected and the three kids are stuck in the middle of it. So, yup.. I can explain more and everything to those who want to listen.
I also thought about doing one about a school. So yeah, I need help since frenzy has started and I have nothing!

I RP a lot, and am on advanced level there, I got accepted by publishers for a novel when I was ten but lost inspiration part way into my novel and abandoned it after working with a block for about four or five months and get no where because I kept throwing it away.

Anyways, if you could, I would like someone from the UK, who is online quite late and has MSN. Thank you. =]
