I am so excited! I just had a meeting with a lovely lady from the Friends of the Library here in Temecula at the gorgeous new library with the tremendous view!

First, it's a wonderful resource with a wide open, inviting feel, the most modern facilities and a spectacular view. Secondly, we have a new supporter and possibly new writer joining our group. Rebecca and I will be working together to create events, write-ins, kick-off parties and other get-togethers to more closely tie NaNoWriMo and ScriptFrenzy to the library system.

Rebecca and I have schedule another meeting for May 17th at the Grace Mellman Library in Temecula (41000 County Center Drive, Temecula, CA, 92591) and you are all invited. Come share your ideas and learn what the library can do for us. There are a number of existing events through the year that lend themselves to publicity for NaNo and SF as well as serving to encourage writers in the community.

Rebecca has ties to the school system so we may also be able to capitalize on that connection to gain new writers as linking with area book clubs to find readers willing to offer critiques and feedback - if that's something you want.

We are developing a year-round calendar of events - monthly write-ins to encourage year-round creativity and production. I hope you are all as excited as I am.

Very cool! The Grace Mellman Library--is that the one off Ynez and Winchester Rd.-the original Temecula library? Or is it the new one?

Our library contact is Rebecca Weersing and our plan is to hold events year-round at the library and really drum up local interest in ScriptFrenzy and NaNoWriMo. Anyone who would like input on our plans or simply wants to hear what's going on is invited to our next meeting. Join us. On August 16, from 1 PM to 3 PM, a small group of writers will be gathering to discuss NaNoWriMo, how to get involved, Q & A, strategies and tips to succeed. Also, Lisa Logan, Inland Empire NaNo and published author, will be speaking on how she got her NaNo novel into print.
