Which one?

I want to start outlining my script for April's Frenzy but have so many ideas I can't focus.

Which one would you want to go see?

1. A pet racoon becomes a nuisance and so is set free. The new girl in town befriends it. The new girls mother gets involved with a 'bad guy'. At one point, the bad guy locks the girl in the basement and she is rescued by the racoon. Kind of a Benji, Firehouse dog story, but with a racoon.

2. A woman becomes ill after her children stop believing in the fairy tale bedtime stories she tells them. Her brother convinces them their mother Maeve, queen of the fairies, and the have to journey into the fairy world to find a cure to save her. Along the way, they discover again the magic of the imagination. A fantasy adventure like Bridge to Terabithia, The Bluebird of Happiness, or Peter Pan.

3. A CEO of a major company is a force to be reckoned with. She is always in control, but her relationships suffer for her it. She becomes stranded int he wilderness, and has to fight for survival. Along the way, she realizes the importance of human compassion. When she is rescued, she returns a changed person and starts her own company. A not for profit empowering homeless/battered women to pursue their business dreams. This would be along the lines of Cast Away or Robinson Crusoe, but with a female protagonist.

RE: Which one?

(1) and (3) have "prebuilt ending" written across them, but (2) could be interesting.

RE: Which one?

I would think "the secret" would be determining which one can sustain your interest for 100 or more pages. For example, do you know very much about being a CEO or dealing with a pet raccoon? Are you looking at writing a story because you think you should write it or do you want to write it?

I am willing to bet that you know in your gut the one you want to write. You may also find once you get started on one of these story ideas that you hate them all and find another that you truly adore. I can't tell you how many countless times I have done this.

Remember, this is your baby. You will be nuturing it from an idea to a full script. Therefore, you should choose the idea that makes your toes wiggle!

Good luck!

RE: Which one?

I chose the one that made my children get excited. Lots of plot twists in my head. I just need to do an outline now.
