Hi! I'm the representative for the class of 2009 in the 2009 verses 2010 contest.

For those who are unfamiliar with the rules and regulations of this contest I have provided the basics:
~each page is worth 1 point
~those who reach 100 pages are worth 25 points extra in addition to 1 point per page
~On the submitting dates, 09ers will PM their total page count so far to me. Title the messege as 2009er PC. 10ers will PM thier totals to their rep. The cutoff time is 12:00 pm eastern
~I will total the points and post them here the day after the submitting date, as will the 2010 rep.
~The submitting dates are April 15 and April 30
~The class with the most points on May 1st wins!
~The only ones who should be posting in this thread are the 10er rep and myself

Those are the basic rules. 10ers, if you haven't chosen a rep, you need to chose one soon. 10er rep, feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Wow. We both had problems with people sending in page counts. But the Sophomore grand total was (according to Excel).....

Yeah, that's right. We won by 11 pages. Kara really wrote 517? Jeez. You know, this would have been so much better had EVERYONE PMed page counts. Oh well.

So here's my excuse for only writing 13 pages: I had a rough month. Here's tip for everyone: Don't use a partner! And if you do, then don't pick a subject you don't like. I did both and I lost, even though I won last year.

So congrats sophomores, I'm going to post in our thread so we can celebrate. Until next year, and NaNoWriMo in just a few months, hasta la vista!

A-hem. I'm sorry to interrupt, but I'm being discussed anyway and I want to point something out.

Weren't you going to add the counts together? Somehow I got the impression that was the point. That total, I can say right now, is only valid if you added my and only my difference between now and the total I sent in before, and also that I do not get further bonuses for 200+ and friends. If not, what was the point of the previous one?

If we still lost, I wish to mock everyone in my own grade for being lazy. Not because I give a crap about contests (I don't even care about my English AP) but because you're apparently the South in the Civil War. Figure that out.

And yes, I wrote 517 pages, 90,000 words. In "Attack of the AP studying and many other evil tests and finals" month, the continual worst month of the year for me to do anything... and this year, officially the worst month of school ever, as can now be proclaimed since it's over. This further justifies the mocking.

If we do this again next year, I suggest we organize it better, decide on the rules ahead of time, and just take the page counts of anyone who says they're participating from what it says in the forums.

Now, I'm off to continue my still not finished script of weirdness. Yeah. I'm really not done. Have fun finishing or editing, everyone.

I must agree. Rather than going through the trouble of having to remember to PM counts, maybe we should have just taken them off the forum. It was such a hassle having to remember to PM. Everybody forgets!
