Okay, this may seem like a bit of a dumb question, but the more that I got to thinking about it, the more I realized that I don't actually know the answer. I'm writing a completely different take on one of my favorite TV shows. Basically, the only thing that's the same is the character name and a couple of very subtle plot pieces. Other than that, it's my ideas. I'm planning to turn it into a webcomic when I'm done. Since I can't call it completely my own, I started wondering what exactly I would say that it was. It's not a parody - I'm not making fun of it. It's not a fanfiction - there's pictures. It's not fanart, either. So... what exactly would I call it?
