What do these terms mean?

I posted this in technology, but no one answered, so I'm reposting it here.

It's about formatting options in Celtx.

In the stageplay format options, what are the "transition" and "text" options used for? Any concrete examples would be greatly appreciated.

I understand all of the other formatting options and sort of know when to use them, (although the difference between stage direction and parenthetical still confuses me at times), but those two "t" options are a mystery.

TIA.

RE: What do these terms mean?

I forgot to say that I obviously know what the words transition and text mean--just not sure how they apply to a stage play format.

RE: What do these terms mean?

I use transition when I want to indicate a black out or the curtain closing after a scene or an act. As for text, it's like the normal template in Word-- no styles used. You could probably use this for notes or comments.
