how often do you check your page count, ha ha

I seem to check it every 5 minutes. I'm thrilled when I finish another page. Perhaps the excitement will wear off when I've written a few more, ha ha.

RE: how often do you check your page count, ha ha

I seem to be checking mine every few minutes, as well. Seeing your page count go up is just so exciting, though, especially considering the fact that I've finally figured out what I'm doing. I wrote 6 pages today after not writing anything in a week. I'd say that's pretty good. =)

RE: how often do you check your page count, ha ha

Join the club! Maybe I didn't found it but I am a member of the "Frequent Checkers Club". Back in NaNo, I checked even if it didn't even seem as if I had written alot. And now with SF, I check usually after every pannel. Every page if I am lucky enough to be in a good writting mood. I'm doing a manga so...Each manga page if you will. Even worse...I'm the type that when I see my page count go up...I edit my SF page...It's such a thrill to see that little bar move.

I'm also glad to see that I'm not the only one behind on word counts. Stupid teachers assinging work when we have writting to do! If I fail this like I did with NaNo, I think I might just yell at my Science teacher...

Just kidding...She is a good teacher...But I REALLY don't like the project we were assigned...Taking up too much SFing time.

My page count shows all the time at the bottom of the MS Word screen. As soon as I complete a page, I update my SF page count - one by one. It's my own little motivation tool. :-)

RE: how often do you check your page count, ha ha

I usually check it after I'm done every scene, if I'm lagging, or if I think I wrote a lot in one scene. Usually adds up to every five minutes as well:-P And usually every page. I'm surprised when the page count goes up by more than one!

RE: how often do you check your page count, ha ha

This was the first time for me to get back to my script in a week. I was able to get in 7.5 pages typed up today. It was great that we were kind of slow at work. I do my page count after each session of writing/typing. Hope to get caught up to the half way point by this weekend.

RE: how often do you check your page count, ha ha

Too often, I think... No, seriously, it might be after every 2-5 pages... It varies, but I seem to write a few scenes before I check the page count. On the other hand, I copy every word I write from Celtx to a MS Word -document, and then I do a word count check on that. It feels more important to see the words line up in MS Word than in Celtx. =)

cgindles is right. Use Word, and your page count always shows. There's your motivation to check it right there. That's how I keep track, anyway.
