I finally had to face facts and start in on the final script that was haunting me as being difficult to do, Not my genre and barely thought out. It was a bit tough to start but then the stories message and sequencing revealed itself to me. I keep writing but my word count feels like it should be building faster then this. Like running in water.
It was tragic to realise that the thing that will set the story off and going is that early on the sweet passionate guy of the four freinds dies and the story is about discovering who he was that they missed out on learning more about him, and the growing up of the three freind left behind.
The emotion and richness of the context are there but it's moving inch by inch across the page.
It doesn't help that the last two days I've had some errands to run and that ate up on my writing time more then I thought. I've gotten about three hours a night rather then the six I'd prefer for weekend nights to work out marathon runs and get far enough ahead. Maybe tomorrow I'll just mow through a large swath of this, but man this is driving me nuts.
