RE: OMG the procrastination!

I wish you the absolute best of luck! I, too, have 30 pages to write by tomorrow. *shudders* I now have to find a way to write those pages AND a French essay on discrimination in colonial Africa AND a 15-20 page research document on casino gambling...all for this week. =(

I don't think I've ever been under so much pressure before. lol

RE: OMG the procrastination!

you can do it!!!

I have tons of work the next couple days too for school and my job. But I have always thrived at the end of the nanowrimo deadline as well, so I'm sure I'll make it through.

Use your scripting as break time for your other projects!

and when all else fails just write a bunch of scenes about nothing to pad the page count. You can always edit them out later!

My goal is to get to 85 pages (minimum) by the end of today, so there are only 15 pages left for tomorrow.

Hang in there!

RE: OMG the procrastination!

Hey guys!

I was sitting at 75 as of yesterday, I'm now at 88, but by no means out of the woods.

This is the perfect time to take that inner editor out behind the woodshed and put a muzzle on him/her. I am working hard to stop judging and just keep writing! And the funny thing is, some really cool stuff has just kind of popped out in the process.

One other little tip, I went through some already written scenes, particularly those with heavy dialogue, and started adding some action for ambience. The cool thing is that you add a ton of spaces every time you chop up some dialogue with action! So very few words can get you a lot more pages!

Have fun!!

RE: OMG the procrastination!

If I can pull 60 pages in one day, I know everyone else can too. :D It just takes a determination brought on by years of being told "you can't" for whatever reason they tossed at me.

Best Wishes everyone! I'm rooting for you all!

RE: OMG the procrastination!

I have approximately 6 hours to write 26 pages.

That's about 4.3 pages an hour.

Damn it.

But I will triumph! I hope. =/

RE: OMG the procrastination!

yay! you will triumph!!

i highly recommend the idea to go back and fill in tons of action lines from earlier scenes when you can't concentrate on your current one anymore.

i got like, 5 pages from that! lol

keep pushing!

you can do it!!!

RE: OMG the procrastination!

I triumphed! With precisely six minutely to spare, I managed to hit the "validate" button and become a winner!

I must say, though, that I do not recommend writing 30 pages in a day. Ever.

I do recommend writing about drunk people, though, as they can ramble on for quite some time, and it never gets boring. =)

Congrats to everyone who finished!

Now I just need to make sure I can finish my giant journalism project by Friday. Which is tomorrow. Crap.

Congratulations!!!
I knew you could do it!

and best of luck finishing the rest of your projects. I'm in the same boat today, too, trying to finish up all the things I ignored the last few days! lol.
