Okay... anyone actually willing to read the massive 500 page script of not-finished-ness?

So I didn't actually finish this script. Yeah. It should be over fairly soon... if it's not I'm calling it an infinite series.

Is there anyone who'd actually want to help me with all the moronic mistakes I'm sure I made and can't find? I'm sure this thing is a boatload of confusion, so I won't be surprised if no one wants to help with this. One of my friends has volunteered, but last time she read the script she told me I should include pictures next time. Mind you, this is a comic book script, and I wanted to find the mistakes before I drew them all out.

I am pretty good at editing, in case you're wondering. But you'd have to wait for me to start doing it after May 12, the last AP day. After that, I'm pretty much sleeping through school, so I'm free after that.

Since I see no other threads here, I also feel the need to make the script exchange list. So if you want to read someone else's, (not necessarily mine) post up your page count, genre, and a brief description. I'm starting this list now in a post below here.

RE: Okay... anyone actually willing to read the massive 500 page

Scripts Available:

Name::Kara
Genre::Sci-Fi/Fantasy
Page Count::517

Script is called Horizon. Weird aliens and historical references galore! The Horizons are supercomputer AIs which seem to like messing with the planet the script is set on. Main character is Arikaze, a slightly crazy alien. Second main is Selitazi, Horizon ADMIN.

Dang, I can't edit the first post? Oh well. I'll see if anyone comes in anyway.

RE: Okay... anyone actually willing to read the massive 500 page

I may be able to read yours, but I'll also need to wait until my AP test is done (May 9th = Day of Doom). Do you think you could maybe read mine? It's pretty inconsistant with all its crazy subplots that never got fully explained, but I like it. It's kind of funny, because my main character is named Kara. My script, tentatively dubbed "This is NOT a Fairy Tale" is pretty much a mixed-up, flip-flopped fairy tale. I'm a really good editor too. Want to partner?

Please tell me that your 500 pages are double-spaced or something. If not, you're an absolute lunatic.

RE: Okay... anyone actually willing to read the massive 500 page

Sounds good. You have AP US History as well? That's my second AP.

And if we wait longer, I may finish the infinite series of doom as well.

That's part of the process of editing. Which subplots stay, which got messed up along the way?

Your scripts sounds interesting, and it's in my area, so yay.

And yeah, I did end up double-spacing it to get a more accurate pagecount. Because my script actually looks like this::

Chandara:: (Seeing him on the railing.) You’re gonna fall.
Kaz:: (facing the river) Pfft. No I’m not. (Looking back at Chandara) How can you be afraid of heights? (Chandara shrugs.)
Chandara:: (after some time) You’ll get it to work eventually.
Kaz:: Err... you do realize I’m not trying to make anything in particular, right?
Chandara:: You’re not? But then... what are you doing?
Kaz:: Gooood question. But it’s not going too well, that’s for sure.
Chandara:: (laughing) Heheheh... Ari, you’re silly.
Kaz:: You’re silly. (Looking at the Kimer River again. Randomly:) Hey, I see your mum down there.
Chandara:: How can you see anyone from up here?
Kaz:: It’s your mum. She’s big enough to see for miles. (Climbs off the railing and looks up at Chandara.) Like you, Chandara! (Kaz begins walking back to the tower door. Chandara follows.)
Chandara:: I’m not as big as Mommy.
Kaz:: Hm, you’re pretty close. ‘Least you’re not as scary as her. (Holds the door open. Chandara follows him in.)
Chandara:: Mommy’s not scary...
Kaz:: (while heading down the stairs) Hell yeah she is. She could duel your fencing teacher, my sister, the captain of the guards and that fighting robot thing all at the same time. And not in the cheap movie way where everyone waits in line to attack.

Aaaaaaa.... scary blobs of text. Not the whole thing, that's just a dialogue block. There are many of those, though.

Oh, and I'm putting your script in exchange land. Multiple opinions are good. EDIT:: Or... apparently I can't edit that now. That's... really obnoxious, actually. So you know what? I'm gonna make a picture file and keep flipping that picture. Picture is here. I don't know why these forums are this way, but I think it's probably the most obnoxious way I've ever seen them formatted.

You wrote 500 pages? Holy Carp, Batman!
I barely managed the 100 in time!

Congrats...

If anyone wants to look over the pages of tv show I wrote, let me know... It's kinda endless babble and I want to know why and what to do to make it better!

RE: Okay... anyone actually willing to read the massive 500 page

Maybe I should submit my script for critique. Eventually. I usually edit my manuscripts so that they're coherent and have a solid continuity before I let anybody else read them. The Spanner Book 1 script is the same way. Currently I'm editing and filling in plot holes; then I'll finish the entire book 1 script and edit it. I have to be halfway satisfied first. But that's me...

How you could ever write that much? I'm on 115, but 500? That's insane. Did you use writing software?

RE: Okay... anyone actually willing to read the massive 500 page

Kathy- Well, then, I'm insane. Go insanity and its massive page counts. No, really, though, I didn't find it particularly hard. If I got going in a scene I wrote loads before I realized it. And no. I didn't use writing software. I like my WordPerfect.

To everyone in general: You know, you guys can switch with each other if you want. I did put Fly and Dennis in the script swap area, because I really can't tell if you were asking me, but I figured you were asking someone. Sort of.

RE: Okay... anyone actually willing to read the massive 500 page

Kara agrees. But Kara's teachers have decided to give several very pointless projects anyway.

Really, I'm not sure why now should be a time for us to do decade reports in history class. Or poetry analysis. Meh.

I didn't end up finishing the script really, you want it as is or ...I don't know. Too tired to think straight.
