I would really, really enjoy being able to keep the excerpt box. I always missed it after nano when I couldn't edit my excerpt or anything, and it really made me wonder why it couldn't stay afterwards since it doesn't effect anything to be able to edit it afterwards (or add something new in while editing your script/whatever).

So, sometime could you make that a permanent feature that stays throughout the year (or at least until the site gets the reboot in February or whenever)?

Either way, great job on the site. Script Frenzy! was truly awesome this year!

I think that's a great idea. There's no reason not to have our excerpts on both sites. :)

And, would it be at all possible to be able to somehow update our page count in the off season, if we didn't finish? I mean, yeah, i love seeing what I did in just April/November, but I also like to show that I've kept working--20000 more words in Nano, 20 more pages here... I don't know...

This is me just dropping words at 6 AM on a Sunday before my first cup of coffee... I would think that it might work to add an "unofficial" page count to hold the extra words/pages. So, you'd have the one "official" counter field for November/April and one that was open the rest of the year that you just fill in yourself. Is that what you have in mind?

In other words, the "official" count would lock down at the end of the event, but the other field would continue to be open so that you can continue to show your progress.

I like the idea... as well as the idea for keeping the excerpt field open year-round.
