Oh no!!

Oh no!!

I had no idea that Script Frenzy was moved to April - I was looking forward to it and getting all worked up, then I came just to find out I just missed it! Of course I'll still write, but it's a lot more difficult and less fun without the group atmosphere and excitement.
Totally bummed. :( I have newsletters sent to my email address - wonder if a notification got lost in the spam box or something.

RE: Oh no!!

If you want, seren_tremio, I'll do a second, unofficial Script Frenzy with you. I've been dying to write some more scripts. It'll be like one big page/word war.

-----------------------------------------------------------
I tried to be perfect, it just wasn't worth it.
I don't know how it got so bad.
It's hard to believe me, it never gets easy.
I guess I knew it all along.

RE: Oh no!!

I'll go in on that. I'm doing a 100000 word summer with some friends, so incorporating a script into that would be no problem.

RE: Oh no!!

I'm doing June anyway. I realized I'm not ready for NaNoMangO, so I'm skipping any specific formal WriMos next month, even NaNoCoMo. I'm dedicating next month to editing and extending my script (so far I have 4 issues which I'll rewrite -- I'm doing a manga -- and I want to get at least a year's worth of issues done so I can focus on drawing after that), plus finishing the second draft of my latest NaNoWriMo novel and putting it out for critique. June is, so to speak, my Script EdMo.

You know, I just might do that with you guys, if you're up for it. :D

RE: Oh no!!

So, should we just post in this forum with our word counts and/or for commiseration? Or do you guys want to do it some other way?

RE: Oh no!!

I'm writing! I'm writing!
Well, actually, rewriting.
Currently in index card stage, redoing plot outline for #1.

transience: Page count. Unless you want to stick with counting words. I'll pop in periodically and post my page count.

I'm rewriting, by the way, not merely editing. The BBC script template doesn't lend itself well to cut-and-paste, and I need to rearrange scenes.

RE: Oh no!!

Yo, I think I'm going to be doing word count, just to let you all know--I'm part of a 100,000 word summer, and am at 2903 words as of last night.

RE: Oh no!!

Since I'm now working on the novelization too (I'm convinced it'll help me):

Script Rewrite: pages
Novelization: words

...because traditionally you count novel words but script pages. So I'll mark my progress so:

Spanner
Script Rewrite: 0 pages
Novelization: 0 words

I might revive last year's script, The Jennifer Theory (I wrote two sequences, one of which no longer belongs there, before the story self-destructed), and maybe I could restart the script adaptation of '07 NaNoWriMo novel Bad Company while I'm working to finish the second draft. Whatever I do, I'll mark my progress as above.

RE: Oh no!!

Okay, I just started myself (a little late already!) Going to be doing word count, myself... good luck, everyone!
