Remakes?

How do they fly around these parts? Not that I've got completely unoriginal ideas (though that would certainly get me a job in Hollywood quite easily. HA!), but I've thought of some old TV shows or movies that could be adapted today if done right, and VERY CAREFULLY. I am well aware that one false move and a remake/adaptation is just ruined.

Should I go for it? Or should I just not even bother and try and think of a good original idea? It's just, I've got a lot of things going on that's been leaving me kind of creatively drained lately, so nothing's really come to me. I've had these remake ideas on my back-burner for a while though, so I figure "Why not, just for funsies?"

RE: Remakes?

Totally go for it! Just because it's not your original idea doesn't mean you still can't be creative when you write the script. I only write adaptations from novels (mostly because I need some one else to flesh out my original stories) but I love it becuase I get to take a novel that I truly love and try to share it with people visually!
