Anyone else finding OneNote incredibly useful?

As the title says, is anyone using OneNote and finding it really useful for planning out their script?
I was using it a bit in November for NaNo but didn't really do much, this time round I'm planning out my characters, places and plot using OneNote.
Also, if you don't use OneNote, what are you using to plan out your script?

I haven't tried it but I was looking for something to plot on. Do you like it?

lol; I'm old-fashioned. I'm just using a notebook. Okay, the notebook I'm supposed to be taking math notes in. :D Whatever, I'm passing math anyway.

Yes I found OneNote really great. Did you see the video podcast on OneNote? There are bunch of really useful tutorials on the microsoft site.

RE: Anyone else finding OneNote incredibly useful?

I'd never actually heard of OneNote until I saw this post, and now I'm really upset that I'd never had it before! It's AMAZING. And not just for this project, but for evrything. I'm in love. Thank you so much for introducing me to it :-D

RE: Anyone else finding OneNote incredibly useful?

Heh, np :P

@Letters of Silver, yeah I love it :D I find it easier to edit/add to my notes than with an actual notebook, there's loads of neat tools and stuff, I just find it really good. I personally prefer it to an actual notebook since I hate writing by hand D:

RE: Anyone else finding OneNote incredibly useful?

Love OneNote. It's probably my favourite planning tool, since I can type in random bits and add little bits of research and direct links to websites for information, be able to drag blocks from page to page and move them around, and somehow keep everything organized. I have a very disorganized brain, and OneNote works well for me to have some semblance of order. I use it for all my planning, not just for ScriptFrenzy. :D

I discovered OneNote shortly before NaNoWriMo '07, and I've been using it for planning and writing ever since. I love the tabs and how you can put text anywhere on the page.

RE: Anyone else finding OneNote incredibly useful?

My computer came with OneNote already installed, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to use it! Is there a website? A book? A magical chant I can perform to conjure up a tutor?

I'm sure it comes with a tutorial but check out the microsoft site. Click on the help and how to section. There are online tutorials there. This link should take you there: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/onenote/HA102005461033.aspx

RE: Anyone else finding OneNote incredibly useful?

I love you for this.

This will make brainstorming so much more convenient being that there aren't scraps of thoughts spread out between receipts, napkins and notebooks.
And it's great cause it's on my computer and I never even knew it.

Thank you!

RE: Anyone else finding OneNote incredibly useful?

Forgot to add OneNote is about $100 by itself. If you are a student or work in an academic institution you can get the Ultimate Edition of Office 2007 with a substantial discount making it $60US or £39UK for download.

Just reading this was making me jealous so I checked on my laptop to see if I might have it and I DID! =D Yay! Now I'm going to go see if I can explore its uses.

RE: Anyone else finding OneNote incredibly useful?

YES! To echo other sentiments in here, I just want to say a huge THANK YOU for alerting us to it!

I had OneNote on my computer but never used it or even know what it was. After reading your post I opened it up... and ended up spending an entire day on it. I planned my entire Screnzy TV series on it, among other things. AMAZING!

Thanks again!
