OK-- I admit. I couln't resist the pure of the blank page. I have started my script and shall dedicate my forthcoming two-week spring break to finishing. Is this a good thing or bad?

Confession 1:
I actually really loved 'Benjamin Button'. So shoot me!
Confession 2:
Life has only just calmed down enough for me to focus on Script Frenzy and it seems I am woefully under-prepared. So I'll be winging it, most probably. Bring it on!

Confession 1:
I did almost no research into the time period I'm setting this in, so I'm basing a lot of the social dynamics on Pride and Prejudice. Even though my script is set twenty years earlier in Boston, not England.
Confession 2:
It's shamelessly based on Romeo and Juliet. But with a lot of mischievous siblings and the American Revolution tearing them apart as well as family loyalty.

RE: Confessions |
My confession - I plotted out the adaptation of two "Starlight" stories, and was ready to start them in 16 days time.
Then I played Dead Rising for five nights (four hours a night) and one weekend day (about eight hours, making twenty eight hours for those who are keeping count) and got entirely absorbed with the idea of putting Harry and five friends in to the story.
So I scrapped the original plan, and last night, in about three hours, I wrote the entire summary, storyboard, character list and scene breakdown for "The Holiday From Hell" - which I now plan to write in 16 days time.
Rewritting an entire script in three hours is always fun....

RE: Confessions |
Confession: We start in two weeks, and I have yet to read an actual screenplay to learn the format.
And I only just really learned about treatments tonight, and how it's a good idea to write one before jumping in.
And I only have a very, very general idea of what I want my screenplay to be about. I don't even know how the second or third acts play out.
I'm scared.

RE: Confessions |
Confession #1:
I really don't have time to do this, since I graduate in the middle of May and still have most of my scholarship stuff to do.
Confession #2:
I feel really weird that I'm writing an AU Harry Potter fanfiction screenplay based on an RP I did with my friend. Come on, there has to be something wrong with that! But it's either that or a musical based on Panic at the Disco's music (think Mamma Mia!, but minus the ABBA songs and entire feel-good, family aura).
Confession #3:
My script is going to be really dramatic, complete with inrequited love, murder, deception, and an unplanned pregnancy, even though I hate dramas. I'm sure that I really have no idea what I'm getting myself into.
I'm going to go curl up and sleep now.

I have already started writing out some of the scenes in my head! Which is a lot harder with a script than a novel, but it still wants me to start writing right now!
Confession 2:
I am considering doing TWO scripts this year, even though this would be my first year doing Screnzy, but both of my ideas are too promising to pass up.

Confessions:
-Still no clue what I'm going to write about. I have this vague vague vague idea about a woman who lives in a small Washington town (hmm... wonder why?) and may inherit an old book shop and weird creepy Victorian and suddenly gets weird witch powers with a romantic comedy twist.
-Midway through April (my birthday to be exact.) I leave for a week+ in California. Hopefully. We'll see. I have 1 class, and it's the second day of class that week, and I just emailed the professor begging for the absence to be okay (saying I have 2 major thing that week in California and if I can't miss the class I can only go to one and that's the family reunion, not the dog graduation).
-My guide dog pup graduates on April 5th. Pretty kick butt thing that I need to brag about. She was with me during last year's Script Frenzy!

Shall we call it 'awesome improv' or should we go and hide?
I have invited scriptwriters to join me, but so far none have stepped forward.
It'll be improv.

My confessions:
I have a pretty good idea what my script is going to be about, but I have no idea what the character's names are going to be, when they're going to be, or where they're going to be.
I have only read part of a screenplay before and I've only ever written one or two pages of one.
I'm not sure I can do this. I have schoolwork to do, I'm starting driver's ed (which I'll have three nights a week), and I don't really know what I'm doing when it comes to writing scripts!
