This is my first time writing a script ever, and I'm going to be hopefully adapting a book that my two freinds, R___ and N___, wrote, but I have no idea how to write a adaption. Can anybody tell me how? Thanks.

My first time for a screenplay. I did NANO in Nov, so thought would give this a go.

I am adapting a short story I wrote years ago (was a bit out of ideas and already 4 days behind). The main thing I am trying to do is 'see' the action happen and describe it accordingly. I also use a lot of dialogue when I write so am simply cutting and pasting some of this across. Because the story is an old one I have lived with it a while and have some extra detail I can add in. The beauty of a screenplay is that a little 3 second scene can be really powerful whereas in a story it is just 3 seconds of words.
