Interpol

This year for Script Frenzy I'm writing my very first crime/thriller TV pilot script and I'm a little nervous, because I've never done anything like this before and I'd love some feedback. So here's my plot:

Title: Red Eye
Plot: Two Interpol Agents are assigned to investigate when two British citizens are killed by an unknown pathogyn half way round the world. When a third victim is found in the US they are forced to team up with a junior FBI Agent to investigate the source of the infection and stop a much bigger and more deadly attack.

I thought it might be interesting to write about Interpol (taking a bit of creative license to make it work, of course) because it's something I at least have never seen before.

I'd be interested to know what everyone thinks, and if anyone has any insight into the workings of Interpol I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks.

RE: Interpol

I love reading and writing mystery/thrillers. My favorite movies are thrillers.
I have little doubt that this is my chosen genre. It's interesting that this year my screenplay for the first time will feature, an Inspector Henri Pels, a French Gendarme on loan to Interpol.

I did a little bit of research, Interpol depends upon these loaner lawmen as their budget is restricted. Most of the Interpol policemen come from the countries of Western Europe.

RE: Interpol

It sounds really interesting. Although, if you're going for realism, the CIA would become involved, as the FBI is more of a domestic unit.

RE: Interpol

I remember when I was doing a bit of research on interpol I came across something that said they don't have Agents as such and the films presented an unrealistic representation of Interpol. They are more an administrative organisation.
