Kid shows anyone?

So is anyone on here going to jump into the world of kid's entertainment?

I still have no idea what my plot is going to be, but I am leaning towards something like Danny Phantom, Avatar, or Storm Hawks. ( if you have never heard of those shows, think comedy/action) :D

plot ideas are very welcome... ...

RE: Kid shows anyone?

The fashion for kids TV seems to be putting a young protagonist (that the audience can pretend to be) into an fantastical situation and that’s the general thread that drives the shows you mentioned so I’d guess that would be a good place to start.

Are you thinking animated or live action?

RE: Kid shows anyone?

I'm most likely doing a kids show too - although it'll be a spec of an existing show, not an original pilot. Haven't picked which show yet though... all my favorites are either international (British and Australian kids' tv rocks!) or canceled.

Anyone have a favorite live-action American scripted preteen-ish show?

RE: Kid shows anyone?

I came up with all my ideas for kid shows when I was still a kid. One day when I was 11 I wondered why all kid shows were written by adults, and figured that as a kid, I knew what *I* would like to see on TV. There's a notebook somewhere. All the plots have superpowered kids. I liked superpowers as a kid. They also have a hint of the supernatural. I liked my shows to have weirdness when I was a kid, too. One of them has the character talking to the camera. I liked Clarissa Explains it All.

All I do to them is make them less lame. See, while at the age 11 you are in a situation to know what you as a kid would like to see on TV...you're not necessarily that good at writing scripts. I still keep some of the original dialogue though, because, really, I think I knew how a 12 year old actually spoke better when I was 12.

RE: Kid shows anyone?

Hi, Im currently writing scripts for kids shows, or aimend at the younger generation

Looking at doing old classics and just redoing them with new and better scens, was going to do Chocky but speilberg beat me to it (honestly).
