and by "action movie," you mean what, exactly?

After seeing Wanted, which was an entertaining film without being strictly "good", I mused that it was the first action movie that I had ever seen. I'd seen lots of action-adventure films, some action comedies, action dramas, and so on, but Wanted was the first that I'd seen that utterly threw away everything other than really cool action and a minimum of necessary justification for it.

I think I might want to channel some of that into my script. I want to acknowledge, at least a little, that the action scenes are part of the reason that the movie exists, and are as key as even something like the main character's arc.

RE: and by "action movie," you mean what, exactly?

I'm writing an action script, but I really don't know how I'm gonna go about it, considering the only other scripts I've written were either historically-inspired or fantasy.

I had this story idea in my head and I'm just going along with it; action seemed the genre to fit it best. I still have to find out what it's going to look like! lol
