When I search for a writer by name [a confirmed user name] nothing turns up. I've tested it with writing buddies, my own name, even *no* names, just searching for list of writers.

Yes. Search is still broken.

You can use google to get most user searches to complete. Fore example, to search for you, I entered:

DMac site:www.scriptfrenzy.org

into the search box. Your profile was the first link returned.

This will not work for users who have just created their accounts in the last 24 to 48 hours, I think, as it takes some time for google to re-index the site.

Hope this helps. I agree that the broken search is a bad thing and this workaround is nothing more than a workaround, but it should help in most cases.
