This is my first Script Frenzy attempt!

Here is the plot of my story:

A businessman enters the world of illegal drug trading. He enlists the help of a friend of his, who is a low ranking soldier in a large, drug running gang. Together, they disrupt a delicate balance struck between the gang and the local Mafia. Greed gets the best of the businessman, who begins selling harder drugs, illegal arms, and running prostitution rings. His former partner takes it in to his own hands to restore the balance that was lost.

I don't know if I should be giving spoilers out for it or not, that was the first real synopsis of my plot.

Why would a businessman get into dirty and risky world of low level drug traffic? And how do they, from their point in the food chain, disrupt high levels?

My own is a little simpler. A gang member buys an expensive wedding ring for the girl he marries in order to launder the money spent in buying the ring. He only marries this girl to launder the money and then takes her to a club where his partners try to take the ring from the girl. She resists, of course, and eventually finds out why he married her and bought the ring and then outsmarts them all by keeping the ring and dumping her suitor.
