Word count not pages and sipping cool drinks in June by the pool

I prefer to go back to writing 20,000 words or whatever words 100 pages equals. I plan to just use the NaNo book like I did in the first Script Frenzy for the win. I would still like Script Frenzy moved back to June. There is nothing better than fun, sun, and writing an award Tony, Oscar,or Emme winning script.

RE: Word count not pages and sipping

I believe that the reason behind the change to page counts is because the industry goes by page counts, rather than word count. :)

RE: ...in June by the pool

My understanding of the switch to April was that it made it possible for the YWP to be done in the schools, since school is in session throughout April but it lets out in June in many areas.

RE:

I personally prefer April. November (and NaNo) were impossible for me as I had exams all the way through. And in the summer holiday, I always travel. So April is the best option for me. 2 weeks of Easter holidays, and no exams! But then again, it's different for everyone.

Let's put it this way: there is NO month that's good for everyone. ;)

the months are great!

For me (in a university setting), November and April both hit the same point in the class semester (roughly), which means I can use a similar assignment both times, after the "big" research paper. It normally overlaps weeks 10-13 or thereabouts, so it's just before exams, just after midterms.
