Proofreaders/-ing

As I'm writing my script, I'm letting someone read it - mainly just for encouragement - but if someone proofreads a script, and as a result some minor changes are made, does that count as a co-writer? And what happens if the other person isn't a Script Frenzier?

I know it won't have much bearing; 100 pages is 100 pages. This is more for piece of mind, I think.

RE: Proofreaders/-ing

No, it doesn't count as a co-writer... however, you don't need to be making proofreading changes while you're still writing. that's for AFTER April! It's all about quantity. NOT quality.

Time spent editing is time spent not writing. ;)

Tell your proofer to get back to you... in May. :) they're welcome to tell you how awesome it is... but save changes for the finished product. Proofing and editing before the piece is done is like renovating a house before you're done building it!

RE: Proofreaders/-ing

Much appreciated.

I have discovered quite quickly that having improvement suggestions hurled at me is just far to distracting, so I've put a halt to it until May. One must concentrate on the quantity: agreed!
