Celtx Studio subscription expired?

I got that alert when I tried to sign in using my regular Celtx account's username and password. I have never actually used Celtx Studio.

I just want a normal (free) account that I can use to do all the normal (free) things. I'm not interested in having a "studio" for $50/year.

How do I fix this?

RE: Celtx Studio subscription expired?

Same thing happened to me.

Luckily, I also use Celtx Project Central. It's free, but you need to upload and download your script manually.

RE: Celtx Studio subscription expired?

Are you required to upload/download scripts in order to have an account?

I don't really want to use project central, as it's public.

RE: Celtx Studio subscription expired?

Studios is meant for private storage and collaboration. They recently enabled it is a paid service. If you're not interested in using their online storage service look in to alternative.

I'm currently using Dropbox (http://www.getdropbox.com) and absolutely love it. 2GB of free storage that automatically syncs with a directory. I have Dropbox installed on all three of my main writing systems and my writing directory is automatically synced and up to date. I never have to worry about manually connecting and grabbing files. It also supports revision history, rolling back to a previous version, and basic conflict management. And completely cross platform.

RE: Celtx Studio subscription expired?

That's the thing - I'm not interested in storage space online or anything that Studios has to offer. I just like working online so I can have quick access to the forums, etc.

So can you still have just a "Celtx" account that's free and doesn't include access to Studios?

RE: Celtx Studio subscription expired?

My partner and I have been using celtx studio to collaborate... does anyone know of another way to get really easy access to another person's script? Is Google Docs the best we can get?

Good, my question is still unanswered, and my thread just got double hijacked. Good.

RE: Celtx Studio subscription expired?

Tobasco, the Studios subscription is extra. I have just a regular Celtx account that I use only to access the community forums. Are you getting that "expired" response when you try to log onto the main Celtx website?

When I first signed onto the Celtx website, I ended up with a typo in my screenname that I knew would drive me buggy, so I created a second account using my backup Gmail address, this time with the screen name spelled correctly. Can you try that? Do you have an email address besides the one you originally used? You can then just skip the whole Studios thing and just head for the forums.

If not, tell me exactly what happens when you try to log on, and I'll email Celtx support for you.

Edited to add: How are you logging on? I was just on the Celtx website - click "support" then "community" then log on at the top of the forums page, not before. I don't think you even have to be a member to read the forums, just to post.

RE: Celtx Studio subscription expired?

Tobasco just use the Celtx software u have downloaded and don't use the Studio account. It will save your projects to a folder on your PC where you can freely access them.
