OK So all was going well, ACT ONE is coming to its finale - the end of Snow White and my interim scene between that and the next fairy tale for Act 2 - Cinderella. And I break the fourth wall by having Sam and Katelyn refer to the script and the play they are acting in.It kinda works - so I'll leave it for draft one I think.

Yeah, I broke the fourth wall in the first act too, setting myself up for doing it several times in Act II. Not sure it's going to stay, but... a draft is a draft so I'll have something to edit, right?

Guilty as charged. And then some.

And I seem to keep doing it, at least when it is called for - well, when the characters decide to break through at least!

I did once, completely out of the blue, for humor purposes, and *I* at least found it pretty funny. :D

LOL. Yeah it has worked well the few times I've managed to do it.

I didn't at all for the first 55 or so pages, then suddenly, without my encouragement, my play has become entirely ABOUT the breakdown of the fourth wall!

I haven't actually touched this play since April...I'm working on novelling now, seeing as NaNo is fast approaching! But I am looking forward to breaking the fourth wall again in my next Screnzy!
