Frenzy Neglect-- Shoutouts for Other Achievements

For those of us who have been neglecting our Screnzy, but doing other cool things, this is our thread!

Me: I have a first draft of my history dissertation on gender roles in the 18th and 19th century Scottish Highlands! Woohoo! This was accomplished at the expense of me writing anything resembling a screenplay over the weekend. (However, I can talk to you in great detail about 18th century Gaelic-language erotica.)

My Audio/Visual project for US Government is done two weeks early! Of course, this means I'm behind for Screnzy, but that's okay. Now I can relax while I write!

I got an A on my physiology test and wrote a French paper! Now I will probably continue to neglect my script while I study for my other 3 tests this month and write my other paper, but at least I'm trying, right?

RE: Frenzy Neglect-- Shoutouts for Other Achievements

Well, this past Sunday, I had the whole evening free and I thought I was going to have time to work on my script, maybe even read a book, have some free time, you know?

6:00, my friend calls me, tells me that that project we'd been working on that whole week, the one that was on her computer and almost done, the one that was due at midnight? We didn't have it anymore, because her computer crashed. So, since one friend was unreachable and the other in Minnesota, I was the one who had to spend six straight hours pulling it all together again. But it's done!

other than that, though, I'm on spring break, so I really have no excuse. :S

Yes! I'm barely on track, but I got to be happy yesterday. My Knowledge Masters Open team got 6th in the state of CA. Yes, you read that right. SIXTH IN THE STATE! That's a big deal, people! That's like, the fourth time in 2 years that our school's team has been in the top ten. Go to www.greatauk.com and click on the new KMO results on the right side of the screen, then go to middle school, and there we are! In the state of California. Woo hoo! *dances happily around room, then hurridly goes back to working on script*

I moved! Across town, even. This required that I pack up my computer.

The computer's unpacked now. That means I can still win this as long as I write the next 92+ pages as fast as I say I can.

I finished editing the screenplay I've been working on. It is printed and tomorrow I will fill out the form and mail it in for the Nicoll Fellowship application.

Well...I moved. That took everything out of me. I found that out when I collapsed last night, and then when I woke up this morning unable to write anything. So April was for moving. And that's it.

Oh well...there's always next year...

RE: Frenzy Neglect-- Shoutouts for Other Achievements

I spent most of my time working on my portfolio. It looks amazing!
I also learned about six new cover songs and wrote a couple of new songs.
Another thing that took up time but isn't necessarily an achievement is the fact that I've been sick this last week, when I was finally going to have time to write. But I did write about twenty pages in the past couple of days.
