A few technical questions about a jet airliner

My screenplay features an Airbus A380 'Superjumbo' jet airliner that will be making a desperate flight across a post-apocalypse Pacific Ocean.

1) I am thinking of including a brief scene that shows what would happen if the Superjumbo crashes into the sea - deliberately and at high speed so that everyone on board is killed instantly, so that they're not left at the mercy of the post-apocalypse sea. If such a crash happened, would the Superjumbo explode in flames upon impact or would it break up without a fiery explosion?

2) The Superjumbo is crippled while heading towards Australia, and although the decision is made to press on it will be very touch-and-go if the Superjumbo will actually make it. To try and help themselves along:
(a) would it make any sense for those on board to throw out stuff to lighten the Superjumbo's load?
(b) can stuff be thrown out of a jet airliner (including, perhaps, seats unbolted from the floor) while it is in flight, without depressurization happening?

Thank you for your help.

RE: A few technical questions about a jet airliner

!. The airplane would just brake into one million peaces. No explosion (but you could put some CIA guys on the airplane that are transporting nitro glycerin for a secret mission into a country that is so secret that you can not even find it on google earth- in that case you would explain a nice explosion that can increase your budget and provide jobs for ILM)

2.b. It is impossible to open a door during flight (in a modern passenger air plane)

a. It would not make any sense even if it would work. The parts would not fall fast enough and could hit the airplane and cause it to crash. Plus if you would throw out bigger amounts of cargo you would change the distribution of weight so you would have to compensate it with the rudders which would cause a higher consumption. There are another 2 million reasons why it would be stupid to do that but ever here you could change the script again: throw out the CIA agents because the nitro glycerin became unstable and got stuck to their tuxedoes.

RE: A few technical questions about a jet airliner

Thanks very much for the feedback.

No need for nitro-laden CIA guys on board, though - what will take place after the Superjumbo lands at what used to be Sydney Airport will be even more spectacular (that's where the influences from 'Cloverfield' and 'The Longest Day' come into play)
