Names of plays and musicals with ...

maids. I need as many plays and musicals by title that have a maid (or more) in it.

So far, all I've got are
THE SECRET GARDEN (Martha, the maid with a name)
ANNIE (maids in service to Daddy Warbucks)
MY FAIR LADY (maids in service to Henry Higgins)

I'm sure there are lots more. They don't have to be musicals. Anything on stage...

Thanks.

If you don't mind Shakespeare, Twelfth Night had a maid-type character in it named Mariah (though she may have been a housekeeper or a lady-in-waiting. or something).

Thanks.

I don't mind Shakespeare. In fact, I would love Shakespeare! But I do need maids--not housekeepers, nannies, butlers, valets, or other help.

RE: Names of plays and musicals with ...

Little Women has Hannah
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde has Jeanne Poole
The Miracle Worker has Viney
You Can't Take It With You has Rheba and errand guy Donald

That's all I can think of for now.

Thank you.

I don't mind more, if people know of some.

Has anyone seen Caroline or Change? Is that also one?

Do TV shows count? Because then we have The Brady Bunch and The Jetsons (if robot maids count).

I'm writing a script about the girl/woman who always get the part of the maid. She has a long history of theatre experiences, always as the maid, by the time I get to her. And she will pull them out periodically and talk about them...

The Women, by....argh, Clare Boothe something? I can't spell it, either, but it was made into a movie recently. Didn't see the movie, but the play has a lot of maids and servants and things.

Another one: Life With Father. Not sure who it's by, though. (Edit: I found my program right after I posted this, it's by Howard Lindsay and Russell Crouse, based on Clarence Day, Jr.'s book about his father. There was a blurb on the back page and everything. xD)
