I've used FD for the last three years, and really have not had to resort to tricks to effectively use it. The program is almost invisible to me as I write, as the software "knows" what is to come next. (I use "knows" as a general term, no computer or software really "knows" anything)
The invisibility factor is one of the reasons I use it. Other programs just about require you to use "tricks" to get them to work as advertised.
